Berndt was a German scientist who came to the U.S.A. as part of Operation Paperclip at the close of WWII. Orville and Wilbur Wright never constructed a complete set of drawings for any of their flyers or gliders. In the mid-1940s, friend of the Wright's, Edward Deeds, commissioned Louis P.
